Participants must be 10 years to 13 years old when the program starts.
Spend a week exploring one of the hottest topics in the Valley with professional firefighters – FIRE! From the basic science of fuels and fires; to natural and human-made wildfires, commercial and neighborhood fires; firefighting equipment design and engineering; fire prevention policies and practices. Find out how the science of fires can change the way we think about, and fight, future fires in Aspen. Campers will be dropped off and picked up at the Aspen Fire Station where they will get to see the fire equipment and meet Aspen's finest fire fighters, then spend the day out in the field doing hands-on experiments and activities. This camp will be amazing!
Cancellation Policy
Due to the popularity of our camps, we ask that you cancel your camper’s spot prior to May 1st for a full refund.
If you need to cancel after May 1st and 14 days prior to the camp start date, cancellation refunds will be 50%.
NO REFUNDS are given for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the start of the camp.
We understand that life happens, especially emergencies and we will try our best to work with you if you need to cancel.
In the event that the Aspen Science Center has to cancel a class, a full refund will be issued.
